TELEHEALTH CONSULTATIONS
Telehealth enables you to have a consultation with Kate, without travelling to our office. With the right technology, you can access healthcare from a location that suits you best, such as your home or work.
Telehealth can use telephone or video conferencing (also called video consultations). If you choose video, we will be able to see and hear each other. With telephone consultations, there will be no video, only audio.
There are several benefits to telehealth consultations, including the ability to have an appointment with Kate regardless of your location, and saving time and money on travel and parking.

ABOUT YOUR TELEHEALTH CONSULTATION
The timing and content of your consultations will be the same whether you choose telephone or video consultations. The advantage of video is that we can see each other and I can share my screen when providing education.
For video consultations, we will send you an email prior to your appointment, with a link to our secure telehealth platform. There is nothing to install or download – you simply click on the link at the time of your appointment to join the consultation. Our telehealth platform uses end-to-end encryption with peer-to-peer connections. The call does not pass through any third-party servers. It is secure and compliant with all health standards.
For telephone consultations, Kate will call you on your nominated phone number at the time of your appointment.
Following your consultation, a summary of the consultation and/or any educational resources will be sent to the email address you provided us with.
If you have any further questions about telehealth consultations, please contact my receptionist, Mette, on 0416 747 747 or send an email via our contact page.
TIPS FOR YOUR TELEHEALTH CONSULTATION
LOCATION
While you can join your consultation from any location, it is best if you are in a comfortable and quiet location and without distractions.
Also make sure you have good internet or mobile reception.
For video, choose a location with adequate lighting
PRIVACY
Make sure you are in a location with your desired level of privacy.
If you are living with or are at work with other people, please ensure they know that you have a medical appointment and not to interrupt you during this appointment time.
TECHNOLOGY
You can join video consultations from a computer, mobile phone or tablet.
Ensure your device is charged or connected to power, and has a stable internet connection (for video consultations) or good reception (for phone consultations).
PREPARATION
Prior to your first appointment, we will send a link to two forms to complete, a privacy form and assessment form to gather information about your goals, medical history and lifestyle habits.
It is also a good idea to write down any questions you have before each consultation, so you remember to ask them during the appointment.
